Geena Forristall is a freelance stage manager and artist in primarily based in Boston. She is particularly passionate about accessible and transformative performance art, with a specific interest in immersive dance/theatre, Shakespeare, new work, and theatre for deaf audiences.
Geena is currently the stage manager for Off The Grid Theatre Company's The Weird, as well as the production stage manager for the international tour of KULTAR'S MIME, a devised play that blends painting, poetry, theater, and music to explore the repetition of violence, the exploitation of minorities, and the corruption of politics. She will next be working on Lyric Stage Company's Souvenir, and Family Performing Art Center's Once Upon A Mattress.
When not on headset or feeding lines, Geena can be found choreographing/dancing, behind the camera taking copious amounts of photos of her friends, writing plays, or trying to get her immersive dance theatre company started. Or, binge watching the latest Netflix hit.
Geena is a proud alum of Hofstra University, where she holds a BFA in Theatre Arts Production and a minor in English Literature.
